India is the Owner/Operator here at the Pink Parlor Spa and Salon. With over 12 years of experience, she is very knowledgeable in the beauty industry. India has always loved the world of makeup so while living in Chicago, she enrolled in a 4-week makeup course at MAKE UP FIRST ACADEMY, here she learned to prefect her craft. After she got certified she became a freelance makeup artist working on small budget films and photoshoots. " One day while on set one of the models had asked if I did facials at that time I did not, but it definitely gave me something to think about". Shortly after, she moved to Indiana. "I was sitting on the couch one day and thought Skincare and Makeup goes hand and hand and that's how and when I decided to look into beauty school.  

In 2008 India attended Laffayette Beauty Academy and earned her license in Esthetics shortly after she decided to go back and get her Cosmetology license as well. Holding both she decided to open her own full-service salon catering to all your skin and hair needs. Although she loves the hair part of the business her passion is the skincare side. "My motto is Skin is the New Makeup meaning if you take care of your skin you wouldn't have to wear a lot of makeup and when you do it will create a smoother canvas."

Over the years India has continued educating herself with earning more certifications including hair extensions, makeup, permanent makeup and different facial services. In 2020 when covid hit the world she had to shut down her business and this is when she created Pre'venir. "This skincare line is designed with Prevention in mind. Pre'venir means to Prevent in French. I believe it's better to prevent than to correct". 

When she's not working, she loves to spend time with her family, planning trips and relaxing by some water.
